The Open Art International Queer Festival has been held annually in Moscow since 2018. This is a “place of power” and a tolerant space for self-expression, free from prejudices, and from the pressure of society and the current government. It is a place of acceptance and a meeting place with like-minded people. Every year we choose a relevant, socially significant topic and gather authors who have something to say about this topic. We find authors and actors from all over the world and select the most interesting and outrageous works that cover the most relevant topics related to human rights, LGBTQI rights. Through art, we talk about accepting ourselves, and our bodies and fighting social stigma.
